Heavy-Duty Vehicle Mechanic

About the role

Adecco is recruiting for one of its clients a full-time temporary Utilities/Heavy-Duty Vehicle Mechanic (M/F) in Dunkirk.

Responsibilities

Main activities:

• Perform routine and preventive vehicle maintenance.
• Locate and diagnose breakdowns using conventional tools and computer diagnostics.
• Repair and replace defective parts.
• Check that equipment is working properly.
• Return installations to service.
• Prepare and start vehicles daily.
• Clean and restore vehicles, including interiors and seats.

Additional activities:

• Take vehicles to technical inspections.
• Carry out minor bodywork and electrical work.
• Participate in inventories and collect parts from suppliers.
• Support mechanics during technical inspections.
• Temporarily replace mechanics working shifts and fuel attendants.

Requirements

• Heavy-duty vehicle mechanic profile.
• Skills in hydraulic and pneumatic mechanics.
• Proficiency with conventional tools and computer diagnostic tools.
• Rigour, organizational skills and motivation.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Adaptability to new technologies.
• Full-time work.
• Daytime or shift work (morning/afternoon), weekends and public holidays.
• Strict compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures.
