About the role

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of its client for a Utility Vehicle/Heavy-Duty Vehicle Mechanic (M/F) in MOUGUERRE, for a 3-month temporary assignment starting as soon as possible. You will work at a site dedicated to renting construction equipment with an operator.

The company emphasizes the reliability of its equipment and the quality of service provided to its partners. In your day-to-day work, you will contribute to the safety and availability of the fleet of utility vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles. You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment in accordance with internal procedures. You will handle general servicing, mechanical fault diagnosis, and work on the chassis and running gear. This includes work on clutches, tire fitting and maintenance, while ensuring repairs comply with requirements and interventions are documented.

This is a heavy-duty vehicle mechanic position at the Mouguerre branch. You will maintain mobile cranes, crane trucks, trucks and trailers, working on both the carrier vehicle and the crane, to ensure routine maintenance and equipment availability.

The proposed contract is a 3-month temporary contract, full-time, with daytime hours, based in MOUGUERRE (64990). The position is available as soon as possible. The required education level is below the BAC, and beginners are accepted. All information related to your application is treated with the strictest confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
• Perform general servicing and diagnose mechanical faults.
• Work on the chassis and running gear of utility and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Carry out work on clutches and fit and maintain tires.
• Ensure repairs comply with requirements and interventions are documented.
• Maintain mobile cranes, crane trucks, trucks and trailers, working on both the carrier vehicle and the crane, to ensure routine maintenance and equipment availability.

Requirements

• You enjoy workshop work, mechanical diagnostics and working on utility or heavy-duty vehicles.
• This position is suited to someone who is motivated, meticulous and keen to progress while contributing to equipment reliability.
• You are comfortable working as part of a team and can follow technical instructions rigorously.
• Relevant backgrounds may include a mechanic from the armed forces, a heavy-duty vehicle mechanic, an agricultural mechanic, or a very experienced light-vehicle mechanic who is motivated to learn and develop in the maintenance of mobile cranes and crane trucks.
• A technician already experienced with mobile cranes and skilled in both carrier-vehicle mechanics and crane-specific work is particularly valued.
• You are rigorous and organized in following maintenance and safety procedures.
• You can work independently on routine tasks and respond quickly to unexpected situations.
• You are proficient in, or willing to learn, work on the chassis of utility and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Education level below the BAC; beginners accepted.
