Automotive Mechanic

Light Vehicle Mechanic (M/F)
Location: Vallouise (05)
Start date: As soon as possible
Working hours: 35h/week
Pay: To be determined based on profile and experience

Following an employee's retirement, our client is looking for a Light Vehicle Mechanic (M/F) to join their workshop in Vallouise.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on light vehicles: oil changes, braking, tires, seasonal summer/winter changes, timing belts, clutches, etc.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform repairs and ensure vehicles are restored to good condition.
• Monitor the light vehicle fleet and anticipate required maintenance operations.
• Prepare vehicles for technical inspections.
• Independently manage the maintenance and repair needs of the light vehicle fleet.
• Keep your workspace and equipment in good condition.
• Occasionally take part in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and construction equipment, as required by the workshop.

Requirements

• Experience in light vehicle mechanics is required.
• Good automotive mechanics skills.
• Ability to work independently and in an organized manner.
• Ability to diagnose a fault and find suitable solutions.
• Thoroughness, reliability and pride in a job well done.
• Team spirit and versatility.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicles, public works equipment or construction machinery would be an asset.
• A Category B driving licence is mandatory.
