Mechanic (M/F)

Job Description

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of 14 garbage trucks under the authority of the pole manager. Internally, you will collaborate with hierarchy, administrative services, supervisors, collection agents, and bin washers. Externally, you will liaise with spare parts suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and carry out first-level mechanical repairs.
• Schedule and track mechanical interventions and ensure their completion.
• Conduct daily operational checks and address malfunctions.
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns methodically.
• Manage external contractors and stock of spare parts.
• Participate in vehicle fleet organization and renewal.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• CAP/BEP or BAC Pro in heavy vehicle repair or public works with significant experience.
• Strong knowledge in hydraulic mechanics and electricity.
• Respect for hygiene and safety standards.
• Rigorous, organized, methodical, and good communication skills.
• Valid driving licenses B and C, and current FIMO and FCO certificates.

Working Conditions:

• Possible on-call duties and winter road maintenance.
• Work in dusty, noisy, and odorous environments with heavy load handling.
• Potential travels for off-site repairs.
