Job Overview
As a Mechanic under the authority of the pole manager of the Régie, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of 14 garbage trucks (BOM). You'll coordinate internally with management, administrative services, supervisors, collection agents, and bin washers, and externally with parts suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and perform first-level repairs on vehicles
- Mechanical follow-up and planning of interventions
- Daily reporting on malfunctions with team leaders and drivers
- Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns
- Managing and coordinating external contractors
- Stock management of spare parts including ordering and inventory
- Participating in decisions about fleet organization and renewal
Requirements
- CAP/BEP or BAC Pro in heavy vehicle and public works repair
- Solid knowledge in hydraulic mechanics and electricity
- Compliance with hygiene and safety rules
- Rigorous, organized, methodical, and good communication skills
- Valid B and C driving licenses plus updated FIMO and FCO
- Willingness to undertake on-call duties and winter viability tasks
- Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and odorous environments
