Job Description

As a Marine Chief Mechanic onboard, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the ship's equipment. You will organize and perform routine maintenance on propulsion engines, ship apparatus, and general maintenance. You'll manage the ship's inventory and conduct daily safety rounds in coordination with the captain. When possible, you'll also assist with passenger safety, deck maneuvers, and ship upkeep. Positions are based in Bénodet, Concarneau, and La Forêt-Fouesnant from June to the end of August. Candidates must hold a valid Chief Mechanic certificate (750kW, 3000kW, or higher) with prior experience preferred as a Greaser Seaman, Mechanic Worker, Chief or Machine Lieutenant. Join Vedettes de l'Odet, a specialized maritime tourist transport company operating since 1962 along the South Finistère coast, offering seasonal contracts for nearly 80 crew members annually.
