Heavy Vehicle/Bus Mechanic

About the role

Adecco's Laval team is looking for a future mechanic (h/f) for its client, which specializes in passenger transport and mobility in Mayenne. The following covers everything you need to know about this opportunity and what is expected of candidates. The goal of the assignment is to maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment.

In your day-to-day work, you will contribute directly to the safety and availability of the vehicle fleet.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles in compliance with safety rules.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdowns on passenger transport vehicles and fixed equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock and take part in preparing vehicles for MINES inspections.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic components on rolling or fixed equipment.
• Use the protective and safety equipment appropriate to each intervention.
• Know and apply procedures as well as hygiene and safety instructions.
• Listen to drivers and operations teams to identify their needs and carry out the necessary minor work.
• Communicate with the various contacts and relay useful information to your line manager.

Requirements

• Autonomy and thoroughness in organizing your work.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Team spirit and the ability to work with various contacts.
• A sense of responsibility, with particular attention to safety.
• Awareness of the ISO approach and compliance with hygiene, safety and environmental standards.

Training and experience:

• CAP/BEP or vocational baccalaureate in mechanics.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical and mechanical environment is preferred.

Working time: 39 hours per week

Pay: 13,45 € gross/hour
