Job Overview
As a Heavy Vehicle and Machinery Mechanic, you will maintain and repair heavy trucks, public works machinery, urban cleanliness equipment, and agricultural machinery either in our Cotonnière workshop or at various sites of the Caen la Mer Urban Community. Your expertise will cover hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, where you will diagnose faults and manage defective spare parts ordering. You will also contribute to workshop organization and maintenance.
Candidate Profile
You must hold a technical territorial assistant rank or be eligible for direct recruitment, with a CAP/BEP or a professional BAC specializing in heavy vehicle repair, agricultural or public works machinery. Solid knowledge of mechanics, repair techniques, and standards is essential. You follow technological evolutions and safety regulations carefully. A driving license B is required; C/E is a plus. Availability for emergency work including nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
Working Conditions
You may be required to work under challenging conditions such as dust, noise, odors, and heavy lifting over 20kg. The role may involve winter service participation and emergency responses to weather events.
