Join our team as a Heavy Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic where you will maintain and repair heavy vehicles, public works machines, urban cleaning equipment, and agricultural machinery. Work onsite at La Cotonnière or across the Caen la mer urban community sites. Use your expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to diagnose and fix problems efficiently. Participate in organizing and maintaining the workshop.
Profile:
- Qualified with CAP/BEP or BAC Pro in repair, heavy vehicles, agriculture or public works.
- Significant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical repair techniques and standards.
- Adapt to evolving technologies: injection engines, hydraulics, electricity.
- Safety and hygiene conscious.
- Rigorous, organized, methodical, and good communicator.
- Driving licenses B required; C/E preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Possible evening, weekend, and holiday work in emergencies (storms, floods, snow plans).
- On-call duties and winter road maintenance participation.
- Heavy lifting (>20kg), dusty, noisy, and odorous work environments.
