Job Overview
Join the team as a Heavy Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy trucks, public works machinery, urban cleanliness equipment, and agricultural machinery. Work either at the main workshop or directly on community urban sites in Caen la mer.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Identify defective parts and manage pre-ordering.
- Participate in workshop organization and maintenance.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a CAP/BEP or BAC Pro with focus on heavy vehicle repair, agricultural machinery, or public works.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical repair techniques and standards.
- Ability to keep up with technological advancements including engine injection, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Must hold a category B driving license; category C/E is desirable.
Working Conditions
- Potential evening, weekend, and holiday emergency shifts during extreme weather.
- Handle loads over 20kg in often dusty, noisy, and odorous environments.
- Be part of winter service duties and emergency readiness.
