The Environmental Equipment Mechanic Worker in general mechanics is a military rank tasked with implementing, maintaining, and restoring mechanical equipment on an airbase. Working within a technical or logistical unit under technicians or non-commissioned officers' supervision, this role covers a wide range of machinery including airport vehicles, aircraft arresting systems, generators, and associated mechanical equipment. The main goal is to ensure the availability, reliability, and safety of essential technical operational means. Enjoy equal pay regardless of gender for the same position and hierarchy level, 45 days of leave annually, discounted SNCF fares up to 75% for yourself and 50% for family, plus free housing on base for new recruits or housing assistance if living off base.
