Job Description
As the Chief Maritime Mechanic Onboard, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining onboard installations. You will organize and carry out routine maintenance of propulsion engines, ship devices, and general maintenance. You will manage ship inventories and perform daily safety rounds in coordination with the captain. When possible, you will also assist with passenger safety, dock maneuvers, and ship upkeep. Positions are based in Bénodet, Concarneau, and La Forêt Fouesnant from June to the end of August. Candidates must hold a valid Chief Mechanic certificate (750kW, 3000kW, or higher) with prior experience as a Greaser Seaman, Mechanic Worker, Chief, or Machine Lieutenant.
