Automotive Breakdown Mechanic

About the role

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a client specializing in the sale of automotive equipment for two Automotive Mechanics (H/F), for a temporary assignment on daytime hours in COSNES ET ROMAIN. This role is an opportunity to put your technical workshop skills into practice within an organization recognized for its high standards of quality and service.

This automotive-sector company is distinguished by its customer focus, service orientation, and attention to the safety of its work. On a daily basis, your role is to perform routine vehicle maintenance.

This temporary position is full-time, with daytime hours, for an initial duration of 3 months, with a start date planned from 12 October 2026. The position is intended for someone who wants to put their automotive mechanics training to use and develop their workshop experience.

Responsibilities

• Mount, remove, and balance tires on passenger vehicles, utility vehicles, or heavy goods vehicles.
• Perform the necessary visual inspections and checks before and after work.
• Carry out basic maintenance operations in accordance with internal procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Keep your workstation and the workshop clean and organized, in compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality rules.

Requirements

• Hold a CAP or BEP in automotive mechanics or vehicle maintenance, and already know the basics of routine maintenance.
• Be able to follow technical instructions, apply procedures, and coordinate with a team.
• Have a Category B driving licence, which is essential given the possibility of moving vehicles.
• Be punctual and organized, and be able to adapt to busy periods and the day's priorities.
