Job description

Attached to our agency in Contres (41), we are looking for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic M/F for all three sites in the Vendôme / Blois / Contres department.

At SARP, mechanics are responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and safety of sewer cleaning vehicles to ensure the safety of our drivers and customer satisfaction, in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Our workshops are at the service of operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage corrective maintenance operations
  • Detect operating and wear anomalies / propose restoration
  • Manage workshop supplies (parts, fluids, etc.)
  • Repair pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic systems
  • Alert your manager upon detecting any safety-threatening anomaly
  • Diagnose faults, estimate parts needed for restoration, and carry out repairs
  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety and environmental regulations
  • Direct relationship with subcontractors
  • Work on high-pressure systems, vacuum pumps, and transfer pumps on our vehicles

Working Conditions:

  • Weekly travel across three department sites and occasionally in the rest of the Centre region
  • Individual protective equipment wear as a core part of SARP's social responsibility
  • Work Monday to Friday, no on-call duty
  • 37 hours weekly + 10 RTT days
  • Requires a diploma in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Agricultural Mechanics, Construction Equipment Mechanics, or Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • Driving license B required, C and/or EC is a plus

You should be able to quickly understand, diagnose, and resolve vehicle malfunctions. Internal support and training across various workshops and on-site with our teams will take place upon your arrival to give you a complete overview of our roles.
