The Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Position (M/F)
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Workshop Manager,
- Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs on the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of heavy vehicles by replacing defective or worn components.
- Adjust and fine-tune engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other components on new or running trucks.
- Participate in on-call duties every 7 weeks.
- Conduct performance tests after repairs and maintenance to ensure proper functioning of the heavy vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical issues and share knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized repair workshop to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Contract:
- Full-time position, Monday to Saturday with a weekday off
- Weekly base of 37.5 hours
- Daytime hours
- Saturday: 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Desired profile:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a workshop (heavy or light vehicle) as a mechanic.
- If expertise is in agricultural machinery or public works, the garage is ready to provide internal training on heavy vehicle mechanics to broaden the candidate's skills.
