As a Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for the reliability and safety of the vehicles entrusted to you. Your daily tasks will include:

• Welcoming customers and scheduling appointments.
• Conducting periodic and mandatory technical inspections according to regulations.
• Verifying vehicle compliance (safety, pollution, and administrative conformity).
• Identifying and recording any defects on inspection reports.
• Clearly explaining the inspection results and any necessary follow-up to customers.
• Keeping up with regulatory and technical updates to ensure service compliance.
• Ensuring adherence to quality and safety procedures within the center.

Required Education and Qualifications:

The automotive technical inspector profession is strictly regulated. To practice, you must have completed a state-approved training program and hold a basic technical degree.

• Degree levels include CAP/BEP, Bac Pro, or BTS in automotive mechanics, vehicle maintenance, or equivalent (e.g., Bac Pro Maintenance of Vehicles, CAP Mechanics, BTS Vehicle Maintenance, DUT Mechanical Engineering).
• Legal requirement: complete and validate the initial state-approved technical inspector training, followed by prefectural approval to practice.
• Experience in automotive mechanics is a valued plus.
